Spring Farm News

Creative Drive at Color Crossing May 1 & 2: 10am - 5pm. Visit Karla and other artists in Roberts, WI. Watch artists at work and see spinning and weaving demos. While you are there, ask Karla about whats new with this summer's adult and youth day camp programs.

Goat babies have arrived! Born 9:00 April 2nd. In this photo they are two weeks old. Remarkably cute, strong and friendly with a great mom! The girl, Molly, who looks just like Mom, Cup-o-chino color. Baby boy is black born in full formal tuxedo- name Lord Byron. For anyone who hasn’t read his poetry I suggest some research –a tragic romantic poet perfect for Blue Horse Farm. Let me know what you think we will see if his personality fits his look.

Ducks

Duck, Duck, and Grey Duck play in the water in 75 degree March weather. Early spring!

Cricket the cat

Cicket revels in the warm dry leaves scratching her back.

Ruby the horse

Rescue horse Ruby is gaining weight and looking like the pretty though breed she is born to be. She came to us underfeed and very jealous of her food. Now she has changed from defensive to kind and responsive. Her main job is to teach Karla how to be a more sensitive rider ” lighter in her seat and hands” teacher Allie says and because she has an extensive jumping resume she will carry Karla safely over jumps provided Karla can keep her balance.

Horses

Pepsi Darcy and Ruby scouring the dry ground for grass. Water has been scarce this spring. We are all looking for April showers .
